DOT requires proper placarding for hazardous materials at 49 CFR 172.500. These blank Class 9 hazmat placards measure 10 3/4" x 10 3/4" (273 mm).
Examples of Class 9 hazardous materials that require this hazmat label include asbestos (NA 2212), dry ice (UN 1845), castor beans (UN 2969), dangerous goods in machinery (UN 3363), some chemical kits, and consumer commodities.
